If you’ve ever fancied a go at bowling you’ve a chance to try it out for FREE at the weekend.
Ruddington Lawn Bowls Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday the 14th of May from 2.30pm to 5pm at their Elms Park base. You’ll be able to try your hand at bowls, hear about the club and enjoy refreshments. Whether you’re experienced or a novice, you’re invited drop in (take a friend!) and see if the game and our village club are for you?
Experienced players wishing to return to the game are also very welcome to go along, to try the green and meet the members. For beginners they have a ‘Play Bowls Package’ on offer to provide a chance to learn and try the game. For £5 you can enjoy 4 coaching sessions with qualified coaches and up to 6 informal games with members. All equipment is provided free for the trial and if you like the club, the £5 comes off your membership!

If you do decide to go along, all the club asks is for people wear flat smooth soled shoes with no heals (a number of shoes will be made available – or flip flops, old slippers might suit the purpose) in order to protect their greens.
Find them at Elms Park, Loughborough Road, NG11 6NX. Access is directly from Loughborough Road or alternatively from Kirk Lane then left onto Elms Park. Off road parking is available via both entrances – or catch NCT Buses’ Green 10C to “Scout Hut”.
